Super HD Wide Screen At JavaOne

The middle screen appears to be something like three 4:3 projectors driven as one seamless display.

Smaller wide screens either side. With small projected strips in between, and larger panels of strips outside.

Control desk, with one of two large screens for the middle section (another two for the rear section)

They were using HD cameras, and the clarity of the images was remarkable.

Judging from the size of the people on stage, I'd guess that the centre screen is something like 60ft x 15ft!

Lots of seats.

I arrived in California yesterday afternoon, and checked in to the Larkspur Landing suites in Sunnyvale, CA late last night. I found this delightful (?!) example of American OTT corporate messaging on the bedside table. Somehow, I think it was the Nytol that did the most for my good night's sleep.

Deeside Cycles may have gone to the wall, but Graham Weigh Cycles lives on! Do I detect an air of smugness on the discerning rider's face? "Do you have a proper road bike? I do. Yes these are 700c wheels, it has 24 gears, and it was put together by Keith at GWC."
